BIOLOGY BASICS 411: You have probably been told that NO (Nitric Oxide) boosters will help you gain muscle. But do you know how? Yeah, they help relax the smooth layer of muscle tissue inside of the blood vessels, allowing more blood flow and larger pumps. But how do they help you build new muscle tissue? We are about to go on a journey inside the human body. Come along if you want to learn why you should keep taking (or start taking) your Nitric Oxide supplements.
MUSCLE SATELLITE CELLS
So now that I have your attention, what exactly is a Muscle Satellite Cell? Well, I’m glad you asked. Muscle Satellite Cells are precursors to New Muscle Cells. Did you catch that? We aren’t talking about muscle fibers getting larger by storing more H2O, plasma, or any other intercellular fluids. We are talking about growing New Muscle Cells!
What was once thought impossible, science has now proved is a fact. You can grow new muscle. Funny, when I was a child in grade school, and high school for that matter, they taught us that you were born with a set number of muscle cells. Man, they were completely wrong (makes you wonder about who oversees public school curriculum, just saying).
Muscle Satellite Cells are a type of stem cell. Therefore, if you don’t know what stem cells are, you are probably living in a cave. Stem cells have gained popularity because of the ability to heal damaged cells, and their aid in the current anti-aging movement. When pertaining to muscle, stem cells turn into new muscle cells. Basically, Muscle Satellite Stem cells can turn into new muscle cells, and new muscle fibers (if you are eating enough protein, and your testosterone levels are high).
HOW IS NITRIC OXIDE INVOLVED?
Well, I’m glad you asked in this edition of Biology Basics 411. NO helps to form New Muscle Satellite Cells. What does it mean? When you have high levels of NO in the blood, NO binds with existing muscle cells, and forms Satellite Cells. These cells are used to repair damaged muscle tissue and grow new muscle tissue. The more Nitric Oxide you have, the more muscle you can grow (if you are eating enough protein, and your testosterone levels are high).
ENHANCED NUTRIENT DELIVERY
You aren’t getting out of here without hearing about nutrient delivery again. So now that you have new muscle cells, you need nutrients to make them grow. The relaxation effect of NO on the blood vessels allows for more of the protein you eat to reach the new muscle cells.
MORE BLOOD VESSELS
And last, but not least (in case you haven’t noticed, I like classic clichés), NO helps you grow more blood vessels. If you want that veiny, vascular look, NO supplementation should be your friend.
For instance, our vascular system works like tree roots. It grows to supply new muscles with nutrients, blood, and oxygen. When you get a pump, you increase blood pooling. This blood pulling helps to form new capillaries. Over time, those capillaries turn into blood vessels, and then you start to look like the ripped Bodybuilders in the magazines. How does Nitric Oxide help? Because when NO levels are high, you get bigger, and longer lasting pumps (mind blown).
HOW DO YOU INCREASE NO LEVELS?
Now to wrap up Biology Basics 411, you increase your NO levels by getting pumps in the gym, and taking supplements that convert into NO. You have probably heard of Arginine by now. And it is a good choice for increasing NO levels in the blood. However, there are better options available now (like VASO6™). Good luck, and may the NO be with you!
