With Type 2 diabetes, the body doesn't produce enough insulin, which prevents glucose from accumulating in the blood. Additionally, ginger promotes the absorption of glucose by your muscles without the use of extra insulin.

Supports the lowering of cholesterol

According to a study, taking ginger pills daily for 45 days showed in lower levels of triglycerides, total cholesterol, and bad cholesterol (also called LDL or low-density lipoprotein, or LDL).
