DON'T EVER BULK AGAIN, PART 4: DON'T TAKE ADVICE FROM CHEMICALLY ENHANCED ATHLETES

Welcome back to the Never Bulk Again movement. If you have been around for the previous three installments, then you should have a decent background on why bulking became mainstream. Firstly, we are going to delve deeper into the myth that you need to bulk to gain muscle. If you are getting your bulking advice from the top Bodybuilders or strength athletes, you should be a little weary. They have an ace up their sleeve that prevents them from getting too fat from eating an excessive number of calories. Secoidly, if I have peaked your interest, then I suggest you continue reading below.

 BODYBUILDERS AREN’T NATURAL

Newsflash. The top bodybuilders in the world use anabolic steroids. So, the question then becomes why people think it is ok to emulate bodybuilders when they don’t have the same amount of muscle building hormones surging through their veins? And if you think it is possible to get big like the top bodybuilders in the world being natural, then sorry, but I must burst your bubble. It is not possible to obtain the conditioning and muscle mass of the top bodybuilders in the world without being chemically enhanced. Let me repeat that for you again. It is not possible to obtain the conditioning and muscle mass of the top bodybuilders in the world without being chemically enhanced.

However, I have nothing against people that want to shoot themselves up every day in their quest to gain strength and muscle. These individuals still put in the time and effort to get big and ripped. However, their results will not translate to the natural bodybuilder. Let me stop you before you say that there are natural bodybuilders out there that are as big as chemically enhanced bodybuilders. There aren’t. Heck, even some of the top “natural” bodybuilders have admitted to using anabolic steroids (Marc Lobliner).

What about the “natural” bodybuilders that aren’t using anabolic steroids? I guarantee you that they are using research peptides, SARMs, GH, Insulin, and who knows what else. Are these guys natural? F**k no! So why are you taking dieting advice from these guys? If you are a logical person, then you will see that it doesn’t make any sense to take advice from someone that is using chemicals to enhance their physiques. And if you are a “Chemically Enhanced” individual, you can gain more muscle in the long run without bulking.

THE EXTRA CALORIE MYTH

We have established that bodybuilders, and even “natural” bodybuilders, are chemically enhanced. What about the individuals that are shooting themselves up on the regular? Guess what, I have some news for you. You don’t need that many extra calories to gain muscle. Your body doesn’t work that way.

When you have extra testosterone and other hormones circulating in your blood at free will, the androgen receptors are going to be saturated. Heck, you will make more androgen receptors to accommodate the increased number of hormones in your blood. You may need to eat a little more, but not what a “Bulk” requires of you.

Hormones speed up the rate at which you build muscle. Not extra calories. Extra calories make you fat. If you are taking hormones, your body has ways to prevent fat accumulation. These processes make people think that they need to eat way more calories than necessary to gain muscle. When certain anabolic growth hormones are activated, other fat storing hormones are downregulated. The extra calories you are eating don’t spill over and get stored as body fat. They aren’t used and are excreted out of the body. You only need to eat a small increase in calories to gain muscle when you are shooting yourself up on the regular. You need just the number of calories to make up for the increased metabolism from the energy spent to make new muscle tissue. Nothing more. And yes, you can still easily get fat even when you are chemically enhanced.

CONCLUSION: DON'T EVER BULK AGAIN, PART 4: DON'T TAKE ADVICE FROM CHEMICALLY ENHANCED ATHLETES

“Bulking” became a thing because of bodybuilders. However, these bodybuilders were using anabolic steroids and other hormones to gain size. How does it make sense, if you are drug free, to compare yourself to a chemically enhanced “athlete?” I still have trouble calling bodybuilders athletes. Can most of them go on a run, or participate in an athletic sport? And if you are shooting yourself up, you don’t need the number of calories you think you need to gain muscle. The human body just doesn’t work that way. Sorry.
